My thanks to Jim Asman, Bob Rasmussen, and a private poster who brought me
up to speed on character sets and fonts.
The character set commands won't do a darn thing unless you've got the
required fonts for it installed.
So, while I had a printer that supported the OCR-A character set it turned
out I needed OCR-A fonts.
There are at least 3 solutions.
- buy a font cartridge for the printer
- download soft fonts for the printer
- use Anzio's latest version with PCL translation on a Windows client
machine which has the required fonts installed. (BTW, Anzio really
rocks for handling filePro's printing.)
I'm sure to have more questions on fonts later -- who knew that fonts went
beyond bold, italic, and pitch changes? :-).
Thanks all.
