will old filepro work on XP computer

hi experts
If filepro runs on windows 98 computer with a NT server that maps
filepro to use drive G: and Filepro runs from a dos window.

Will that version of filepro run on a XP computer that is connected to
the same NT server that will also mapping to drive G: ?

I have recommended that the user upgrade to 5.6 but they are hoping to
cheap out.
