As for sales contact programs, I wrote my first one using Profile II an a
Radio Shack Model II with all sorts of bells and whistles.  Over the years
it evolved, mostly by stripping out the fancy stuff.

Basically the things I've found most useful are to have a simple table with
customer information with a field that's the next date I want to contact
them, and a detail table that has a line for each contact, subject, and
result so I can remember who the customer is, and what we've discussed.
