And from 5.0.10 forward they were dynamic and you had to have libtermcap
installed.  They had to do that because glibc2 basically made a mockery of
static linking and there were issues with NSS of all things on a static
link, so it was taken dynamic.

That's why I'm asking.

Someone with the latest binaries for linux can will us, then, hopefully.
