Hi all,

We have just made available version 15.2 of Anzio Lite and AnzioWin. This
is a free update to anyone licensed to version 15.anything.

Anzio is our family of terminal emulation (telnet, SSH) programs for
Windows, widely used in the filePro community. One of its strengths is its
support for passthrough print, which works very well with filePro's PFPT.

Highlights of new features:

1. In File:Printer Setup, you can checkmark "Interactive print". Then,
whenever a passthrough print job is received from the host, this same
Printer Setup box will pop up, allowing the user to direct the job to a
different printer, set a different print level, or, in AnzioWin, specify
PDF creation or fax generation.

2. In AnzioWin only, in Printer Setup, you can now very easily specify an
overlay file to be combined with the print job from the server. This makes
the longstanding overlay capability much more accessible. An overlay might
be an invoice image, for instance, stored as a BMP, GIF, JPEG, TIF, PCL,
WMF, EMF, PWML, or SPL file.

3. In the main screen of Anzio, showing the emulation session to the
server, you can now select "Allow ink markup" in the right-mouse popup
menu. This lets you mark up (notate) the screen, using the mouse (on most
Windows XP systems), or the stylus on a TabletPC. You can draw in multiple
colors, and also erase. You can then print the screen, with markup, or
copy it to the clipboard; then, in Word for instance, you can Paste
Special, selecting a bitmap format. The screen image will be inserted,
including the markup. This can be a great way to do user documentation.

In addition, there have been numerous bug fixes and enhancements.

If you're not familiar with AnzioWin's printing support for filePro, let
me point out some features:

* All print jobs can be sent to any Windows-supported printer, or to PDF
(with no additional software) and viewed, or to fax.

* Plaintext output from fP is auto-fitted to the page.

* If fP is sending PCL-5 printcodes, AnzioWin can route that unchanged to
a PCL-5 capable printer, or it can *translate it* to print on any printer,
including Windows-only printers. It can also translate PCL to PDF or fax.

* The best support for fP printing is to output Print Wizard Markup
Language. We provide a file "printwiz.prt", which can be installed onto
your fP system. Then, when you choose "Print Wizard" as your printer type,
your printcodes are translated to PWML. When routed through AnzioWin, you
can then get device-independent printing on any Windows-supported printer.

This is just the highlights. See the website for more info, and demos.
