I was in the same position last year.  I switched from our very reliable
T1 to business class internet cable.  I've had a couple blips over the
last year that I never had with the T1, but nothing bad enough that made
me wish I didn't switch.  Overall, saving a TON of money going with
cable was very much worth it and having much faster download speeds is
also very nice.
