Antiquated Software

>> AND whatever you do, never, never post anything to the "List" in HTML
hahahahaha.

So, its that way here too. Some time ago I sent an email to someone on this
list directly from one of the most useful tools I own. bar none. It is
-It-Notes software. This little 30 dollar program will change your
computing world.

Anyway, my question was quickly redirected into all the reasons (bandwidth),
why I should never send a bitmap in an email. Heck I have never sent myself
one, so I had no idea that it was not being sent in text mode. However, I
sent one to myself to see exactly what was being received, and quite
honestly it got my attention, looked great and was not boring.

I'm so fortunate that my world consists of brilliant color, moving scenes,
emotions, smells and sounds. And I, for one, will take all of the senses my
computer can throw at me, as I see it as work being enriched. I just can't
image anyone choosing the old technologies when it comes to this. If your
browser, workstation, or email server has a problem with handling the extra
"enhancing" streams, then ditch them, as you can get the enhancing stuff for
free. You can even import all of your old list messages, even compuserve's
old format into something new.
