Which is why I made sure to include the "or at least in addition to"
qualifier.  Contacting fPTech and cc'ing the list is fine with me.  It's
the postings which are directed to someone at fPTech, but addressed only
to the list, with which I have problems.  Does the person whom you are
trying to reach read the list?  Probably.  But that doesn't mean it's
the right way to contact that person.  (For one, it can certainly get
lost in the background noise.)  If someone wanted to write to the head
of a large corporation, a letter to the editor in the NY Times isn't
the best way, either, even though that person probably reads the Times.
