filePro and SOAP

Is anyone using SOAP and setting up a service that will accept data and
process it then return filePro data to a client?
I am trying to figure out the cgi chunk that needs to collect the SOAP
request, and somehow pass that file to filePro. I have the bit working
great that imports the file, parses it, processes it, generates the
output and ends. I need to add the transport mechanism to this.
We need a SOAP service (lingo I found but don't have a clue how to start).
The SOAP Service needs to get an XML file from the POST, write it, pass
the name to filepro in a command line. FilePro does its thing and
writes a file. File is then returned to client via SOAP.
Seems easy on paper, but all samples seem to assume you have major bits
already happening and leave out basics.
I am awaiting the aha moment when this actually makes complete sense.
I have read tutorials on SOAP, but they all start with installing a
bunch of Java, Perl or someother stuff. Is this all necessary?
Working on SuSe using Apache. (Version numbers escape me but it is
current. Not sure if Apache has SOAP includes/mods but they can be
added if needed.)
I have a bunch of people that want to do this but none has a clue how to
implement a server, they are all clients.
My hair is getting grayer by the minute trying to work this out with so
many peices missing.
BTW - If anyone has experience with this and could act as a resource we
would be glad to pay for those services. This is a project that we
would like to finish ASAP and we have the biggest part done (I think.)
Call me at the number below.
