| I am in the process of upgrading my unix filepro to a new unix server. I am
| testing and have installed the version of filepro 4.8 that I am currently
| running on the old box. I intend to upgrade after everything is imported as
| Nancy Palmquist suggested.
|
| My immediate problem is that you can create new filepro files and list them
| with the ? selection on the menu however I cannot access or change files.
| When using define files or IUA I get the following error
|
| *** A filePro Error Has Occurred ***
|
| Cannot open file:
|
| On File: /appl/filepro/fpcust/key
|
| File not found
|
| I have created a file called test and it will create, however I get the same
| error.
|
| My /etc/default/fppath appears correct as it is the same on the old system.
| Except that I am now using /usr/appl/ instead of /u/appl

I think it's odd to prefer /usr/appl to /u/appl, but in any case, if you
want to open your files using pathnames like /appl/filepro/fpcust/key,
it might help to symbolicly link /usr/appl to /appl.
