I also found it by accident.

My question is how do you stop it?

Ctrl Atl Delete did it for me, I think it would go on till the cat comes 
home or you run out of space.

I have a couple of files I do this to.  If I want to open 250 records on 
file 002 I have a .prc on file 001 that
does a lookup for free records on 002, puts something in a field and 
moves on.  The .prc is looped with a counter to shut it off.  I goto 
record 1 in 001 and run the .prc.
