Think "ThinkPad"!!  I have had 2.  my latest one is a T40.  gets about 4 1/2
hours on the battery.  Has a 14" screen, 30 gb hard drive, 512 GB memory,
wireless, modem, Ethernet, 2 2.0 USB ports.  Has both touchpad and the
touchpoint (eraser head - which I prefer).
