| Has anyone printed labels out of Filepro?
| I need to print some 2" or so labels in the receiving department.
| Pretty simple stuff like,
|
| Customername
| P.O.
| Rec Date
| Work Order
|
| And that's it. Some printers available are,
| Zebra, Brother, Seiko. We are on SCO UNIX / FP 5.0.14
| I use HP print codes. Can I assume that they won't work
| on these printers? I have an HP only network, so this is new to me.
| Thanks,
| Steve

HP print codes CAN work for labels. With the right printer.

We use an Intellitech (www.intellitech-intl.com) IntelliBar Model 48
printer. It looks like any of the other industrial-quality label printers
out there. However, it uses PCL 5 as its printing language, and is 300dpi.

We used to feed it from filePro under Unix with standard HP PCL print codes.
We don't print product labels anymore, but it is still on our network and
we still use filePro to print shipping labels and a Windows driver to
print mailing lables.
