A SEGV is a segmentation Violation (sometimes called a segmentation fault).
It's basically a situation where a program crashes to to (usually) memory
management issues internally--although it's possible to trigger one via
specific ways of writing processing.

You would be able to recognise it because you'd get an on-screen message
saying, "Segmentation violation."  That would be the last thing that
happened as filePro would stop working in that particular instance of
*clerk/*report.
