sql server connection

Are you looking to do high-level or low-level ODBC in filePro?
If high level, you should be able to create a DSN in Windows
first and just use this in filePro (control panel/administrative
tools/data sources, go to system data sources, create
a new source choosing "sql server" and put in the IP address
for the server name, username, and password).
Note that depending on where you are connecting, you might need
the network admin to allow access through a firewall (most companies
block incoming SQL connections by default--or at least they should).

Subject: sql server connection
Anyone know how to write a connection string to an sql server
from filepro ODBC. Using latest filepro. There are no sql examples in the
filepro help file. The server is off site
and I have the ip address, database and table names.
Thanks in advance - Robert Pulliam
