  I can't tell you what is wrong but as way of comparison.....
   
  We run filePro ODBC (16 user) on a 3 server win2000 network with approx 25 work stations.  In addition to fp , our other main software runs in MS SQL Server. Most workstations would typically have both programs up and running along with Outlook, Word or Excel .  Some woiuld also have Act 2005 or Surfcam running.  All of these are heavy resource hogs.  Bottom line we have very little degredation in speed from older versions of fp.  (Note I go back to Profile II on an Radio Shack model 2).
   
  As for your CSV files, every night I update 12 Excel (dif) files to filepro.  They range from 8,000 to 76,000 records each.  The total process takes 45 minutes.
   
  I'd say you have a problem somewhere but I don't know where to tell you to start looking.

 run fast, it imported 9 files, of the same amount of records, in about an hours time.

My question is, is there anything that any of you could think of that we could do, or check that could possibly help make filePro 5.x run faster on a Windows 200x server? If you need more answers to any questions, please feel free to ask.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
