Well, first of all I would try to get a replicable set
of circumstances here that you can zip up and send to
fpsupport. In addition to that I would try for some
work-arounds as follows.
Your best bet on an archive process would be delete
the problem index and then build it from scratch after
the archive completes. If that is not an option then
Yes, I would suggest that you rebuild the problem
index before your archive runs. Then if your archive
does not complete successfully, have it rebuild the
index, and then re-start the archive. This should be
in a loop so that eventually the archive will
complete. Finally re-build the index when you
complete successfully.
Unfortunately I have had quite a bit of experience
with this kind of thing.
