Is it just me, or did Mike Schwartz (PC Support) say:

And I "fixed" my wireless. I have 108mbit Turbo mode on the D-Link gear,
but the problem is that it mandates channel 6 as a base and then bonds
another (automatically selected, also invisible) channel to it to get the
extra bandwidth.

Sure, I could burst to 72mbit on rare occasion, never over, but I could
also drop to 5mbit or even desync entirely far more often (especially the
last 3 days for some reason).

I figured since a burst over the regular G of 54mbit was rare, and I hover
around 24-48 anyway, I'd just disable G and select a non-default channel,
thus opting for stability and a higher average than instability and a
coin-toss average.

Started a 700MB file transfer and did channel switches while watching the
ETA as it settled out after each channel switch, found 3 good channels to
choose from. It's solid now, from what I can tell.

Turbo isn't all it's cracked up to be.
