I am having difficulty using the above commands. They are being used as
follows:

Apr 21, 2006 11:18 File Name: KALOS Page 1
                             Processing: Kalos_import

   4 ------- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
         If:
       Then: putenv "LOGFILE","E:\QS1\TODO\KALOS_FP_LOG.TXT"
   5 ------- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
         If:
       Then: putenv "PFLOGAPPEND","ON"
   6 ------- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
         If:
       Then: putenv "PFIMPBUF","2000"

  23 ------- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
loop If:
       Then: BB(2000,*)
  24 ------- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
         If:
       Then: LOGTEXT BB

Lines 7-22 have been snipped since they are not relevant to this issue. I
don't think setting PFIMPBUF affects this either since this isn't an import.
Adding line 6 did not affect the result I'm seeing.

My log file is being created but is being truncated before all data in
variable BB is written to the log file. My log file only shows about 50% of
the contents of variable BB. I can confirm this because I have data being
posted into a filePro file after the truncation mark in my log file. Is
there another environmental variable I need to set to log all of the
contents of variable BB (approx. max length 2000 characters)

Secondly, can anyone recommend guidance when they use the PFLOGAPPEND
command. This log file will be having approx. 50,000 entries added per day
and I don't want this to become unruly. But there will be occasion when I
need to look at data in the file that way be several days old. One thought
I had was to copy the file each evening and date it, then delete the working
log file and have it re-created each day beginning with the first record.
Anyone have a better suggestion for handling/managing large log files?
