OT: Wrong disk, wrong version

I will be sending this to the email addresses I have on file, as well... but
most of you this pertains to, are readers of this list...

I recently sent out a new Advanced CD for the filePro Survivor Series. It
was labeled (in a file on the CD) as version_number_1.1, and there is a tiny
movie that you can play which says "version 1.1". In any case, the link to
the file says version_number_1.0... and so you get a page cannot be
displayed error. This would not be so bad... 1 link out of hundreds, but it
means a whole lot more.

JP pointed out that there was something wrong in the header-detail section.
At first, I didn't see it, but when I tried the version number and found it
was pointing to the 1.0 directory on my system, it was pretty obvious right
away what happened. I had made completely new files for most if not all of
this section. Then I changed the references to the directory from 1.0 to 1.1
and re-built the CD's, and sent them out. Turns out there were more
references in my script to the version number. and I only change the
cosmetic number to 1.1. I left the pointer for the build set to 1.0. Yikes,
this means many/most if not all of you have 1.0 disks which have a 1.1
version file, that isn't being pointed to properly... with the files on the
disk being the completely wrong 1.0 version as well. I have corrected the
build and will name it version 1.2. This will affect the Advanced CD only. I
will send out the proper disk today to everyone who has purchased the
program. If you have only 9 lessons in the Header-Detail section (Chapter 3)
of the Advanced CD, you've got the problem disk. My apologies. The correct
CD will be there tomorrow or next day, hopefully. Please throw away the
corrupted old CD. It is no good.

Hopefully, most of you aren't as fast a listener/watcher as JP. :-) and
haven't gotten to the Advanced CD yet!

Look for the correct CD by USPS. If you are International, look for it by
global-priority or express. I want these things to be as good as possible,
and this was a pretty big glitch. Sorry. The lessons on the right CD are
infinitely better, no mistakes, no corruption from wrong files.
