You can't do that

You detailed it in absolutely no way that made sense to me..., but of
course, there are those people with real brains who are so much more capable
than I. Speak for yourself, Jeff.

Ah, well, this couldn't be more disappointing... but I suppose it is to be
expected. At least it wasn't Ken... who is traveling to Florida and who I
doubt very much would send you any kind of a request like that. This simply
enforces my belief that the Wish List Project does not mean a thing... and
why I have not submitted anything to it in the past many months. It shows,
that there is no care from FP Technology for getting the things that
actually need to be done, DONE! And it clarifies quite clearly why this
next release is SO many months and years away from the last major release.
Yeah, let's consider the one thing that really CAN'T be done easily, and
let's consider it secretly and privately, over all the hundreds of
well-thought-out explicitly requested enhancements offered through the
supposedly "prescribed channel" of the Wish List. Pretty typical. If the
person asking you for this "summary" would tend to doing the things he's
been asked to do, and actually get them done, instead of running his own
private little wish list... perhaps, things would be a little better?

As it is, let's see how many people find enough benefit in the next release
due out in 4 weeks to actually purchase it for themselves and their
clients... and then let's take a look at the "real" wish list which has been
kept since 2003 with absolutely no indication from anyone as to what
priority these wishes hold. There is simply no accountability for the
development of filePro anymore, and your note explains possibly the major
reason why. Very sad. I will take it upon myself to check the next version
(when it released) against the existing and *known* wish list... just to see
how many if ANY of the wishes are contained within it. Many of us asked for
more automatic indexes, so I know that is one... care to go for two?? Yes,
the 2GB file size limit is broken, but that is not a wish, that is a
necessity. The rest, I can now see are at the whim of "un-named" at FP Tech.

I'm glad to know the Jeff Harrison and "un-named" version of filePro will be
coming out soon, though. I can't wait to buy it. I'm sure it will have all
the right things in it. I'm just so glad I wasted those hours and months
and years on the Wish List... sort of makes me feel good inside.

Somehow, my expectations for the next release have just dropped to zero and
below.
