| I did as you suggested and got the same error. The sitepwd works on a
| WIN 98 machine, but not the XP machine. Does that sound right or is
| something else going on here?

I run a version of filePro on my Windows Pro system that was
initially installed on my Windows Me box. I've never used the
sitepwd program so I don't know if it ran OK on Windows Me.

But I just ran it on Windows XP and got the same error you got.

I tried getting it to run in Windows Me compatability mode, but
that didn't help.

Maybe you could download the Windows demo distribution and scarf
sitepwd.exe off of it.

|
| | Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I added the "@" to Set/Change
| Site
| | Password option on the Filepro Utilities Menu since it is the only
| | option that is not working.
| |
| | This is what was displayed:
| |
| | Interrupt 0DH, General Protection Fault possible illegal address
| | error code = 0000
| |
| | eax=00012e00
| | Ebx=FACD0005 etc......There is more of this part, but too much to
| type
| | unless it is really necessary to see.
| |
| | Any suggestions?
|
| Using filePro 5.0.7DN9 on Windows XP Pro, I get the following error
| after executing a User Menu choice that has a @ as its first character:
|
| The instruction at 0041e960 referenced memory at 00000050
| The memory could not be read from
|
| Then I have to click on the window's upper right corner X to close it.
|
| Get a command prompt (Start => Run => cmd), then hold down the
| <Alt> key and press <Enter>. Then execute:
|
| C:\fp\sitepwd -a
|
| or whatever is the path to sitepwd.exe on your system.
|
| Does this give you an error message? If so, you need to either restore
| sitepwd.exe from a backup or from the distribution CD. Then again do
| the above steps to assure it's working. Then your User Menu command
| line should work.

| |
| | Have you tried putting an "@" at the beginning of the menu command
| | line, to have filePro wait for Enter before returning to the menu?
