Wow.....

Charlie Day has said everything I could ever think of saying! I have always
wondered what happend to the filePro list from years ago. This place was
hopping and everyone always contributed. Then, I guess things somehow got
rather ugly and a bunch of people left or put massive filters on.

I'm with Charlie Day regarding Unix and Windows. I know just enough to be
considered "dangerous", ha ha ha ha... But with filePro, I have learned my way
around and still think it is an excellent database product.

Without you folks on here offering help when I needed it, I would still be
sitting here with a blank look on my face. Even when you reply to me saying,
"Butch you bonehead, that's not the way to do it... This is: {insert example
filePro code} ", I have greatly appreciated it!!

John,

You know I do not hold a candle to you or Dave and most other filePro
developers. I know nothing about *nix and only as much as necessary
about Windows. Every now and then, there is a problem I need help
with. You and others on the list most always, and very kindly, seem to
take care of me. I appreciate that very much. I would be frozen in time
if that help was not forthcoming.

I agree with you and Dave about the nit-picking. A long time ago I put
on my flack jacket (a turtle shell works too, but it allows withdrawal)
and learned to use my delete key for messages sent by particular
persons, knowing that 99.9% of the time that message would grow huge
mushrooms if kept in the dark.

In my opinion, not personally knowing or having met people on the list
causes some of the "my brain is better than yours" messages. I also
believe a couple of those people don't give a crap even when they do
meet someone in person. When the big Delete Key takes them, there are
two things they will not take with them, their money and their superior
attitude. The money stays here and the attitude is gone, dead!

Keep up your good work.

Charlie Day
