Four score and seven years--eh, screw that!
At about Mon, Oct 24, 2005 at 12:18:32PM -0400,
Jay Ashworth blabbed on about:

Ah, but that's not what I suggested to him. I suggested (before we found
out the cable access would not fly) that he get cable broadband and set
up wireless access to help defray the costs by sharing the burden amongst
friends in the dorm that would also like to benefit from it. They forbid
wireless run by students -period-, from what I was told. You can't have
the devices in the dorms. -Supposedly- this is so they won't interfere
with the campus network. but that's a load of rot because the campus lan is
hardwired in the dorms. That's what they told him the reason was, anyway.
He was thinking about getting cable broadband just for himself then and
paying the full tab and pressed on before finding out that was also a
no-go.

Let's see, you can get utterly, completely, soakingly drunk at college
parties, but watch out for that innocuous wireless access point. Yeah,
that makes sense. We all know how dangerous the Internet is. :)

> "I don't pay you to win arguments with me" is what I tell such people.

I'll have to remember that one.

> No, but there is a "me" in there, if you kinda jumble things around...

Cute. I like that. Thanks. :)

There is no "I" in TEAM.
This would be the primary reason I've chosen not to join one.
