OT: broken/useless ansi - console driver??

I didn't install filePro 5.0.14D4 until October 10, 2005 -
a month after I installed OSR 6. The date-time stamp on
the $PFPROG/fp/termcap file is the same as that on the
viewprt and termcap_5.0.14D4 files and the scripts and
util directories, and 9 minutes earlier than that on the
fpinstall.log. So no one has touched it since tne install.
And I definitely went upstairs and logged in on the OSR 6
system to a console multiscreen and saw that the TERM was
at386-ei just before I got a shell prompt.
