Why should they bear the vendor's burden? Kinda betting there's zero
benefit to being on that council.

As long as you don't hold your breath, you should be okay either way. Just
assume that you'll be Carmack'ed to death: "It'll be released when it's
done." It's less frustrating that way.

I -so- agree with you that it needs to happen, but it almost certainly
won't. They don't have the vision, and seem impervious to it when someone
tries to impart it.

Fairly good analogy, actually. Or the people reliving the glory of the
