Important MENU EDIT II Bug Report

The whole rest of MenuEdit II that is on the Addendum CD as a demo, does
work just fine. The Rename function is donw in the midst of the options
somewhere... and your fix is, I'm sure, already built into the activated
copies you will be sending out by the carload now... :-)
Good luck, people should really like Me2 when they see it in action on the
movies we made. I believe it is only $49 to take it out of timed-demo mode.
By the way and not to infringe on this topic... much :-)... but, Jim Asman's
MKPCL is also on the Addendum CD as a demo. FilePro users and developers
that don't have that program are really missing something extremely useful.
That is a must-buy program in my book... I think it is only $75, too.
Incidentally, there are a few little tricks used in these demos... so don't
bypass them, just because you already know the procuct.

Subject: Important MENU EDIT II Bug Report
Important MENU EDIT II Bug Report . . .
This is IMPORTANT to anyone who has, or will, install
MENU EDIT II from a recent distribution of it, either
from John Esak's CD's recently distributed, or from
any other source.
There is a Perl program in the distribution: "rename_menu.pl"
that may be defective (due to a Hard Disk failure and a bad
restore on my system).
This may be of INTEREST to anyone who has a Licensed or
Demo version of MENU EDIT II already on their system(s).
I now include with MENU EDIT II two Perl programs:
rename_menu.pl - It allows one to rename a filePro User
Menu to a new name, copying all of the
script/batch file names to the new name.
and editing the menu's Action Command Lines.
copy_menu,pl - It copies a filePro User Menu to a new name.
doing the same as the above.
John Esak suggested the latter program to me, as a way to
facilitate making a new menu for Judy, when she replaces
Julie in a job, or for when adding a new employee. It does
everything but change the Title Field in the Menu, which is
easy to do with MENU EDIT II.
Since I freely distribute these Perl programs with my ME2
program (Licensed or Demo), I'll send them via email to
anyone requesting them, so long as they indicate in their
request some evidence of having a Licensed or Demo ME2
installed.
