This sounds so idiotic. In any case, building a *new* index while the
backups are running would harm absolutely nothing.  Secondly, running
cross-linked keys in filePro across the net???? I can't think of *anything*
I'd want to do less.  Good luck, the system sounds horribly designed and I
agree with whoever said it... the PTB are not getting their money's worth if
they're paying you to consult and then don't let you do the things you need
to do. Building an index to access data properly is the most basic of
necessities when running filePro systems (or most any database for that
matter.) Like I say. Good luck.
