14467-SegViolation

Linux SuSe 9.1 (I think that is right.)
FilePro 5.0.14 - tried dclerk and rclerk - no real difference
I am getting a floating segmentation violation.
It is in a process table that is running with no human intervention.
It uses dclerk, moves to a free record (using -xe and lookup - in
@entsel processing.)
Then it does a number of call's - During the call's it reads an .xml
file and then writes an xml file, creates a number of records in various
databases.
There seems to be no rhyme or reason about the seg violations. I get no
other error messages.
I am not reading past the end of the xml files. (tried import and
current using READ()
I do not have too many edits.
The data does not seem related to the crash. One time the data will
work without issue, and the next it will crash at order 1 or 7 or 8 or
the like, totally unpredicable.
It does not crash at the same point in the process table.
One item is that it is more likely to crash if I have to process more
orders, i.e. One order never crashes, but 9, 20, 30 or 40 may or may not
crash.
I am using filePro and non-filePro files and am creating records in
both. The non-filePro files do not have any indexes.
It would be easier to talk this over. I am unable to make an
installation that I could ship to you, easily. I can give you access to
my system or the customers. We are currently on test with this and need
it to be very reliable.
I will gladly send the processing, but it will not run without many files
I am at my wits end to solve this issue. Put me on billable and if this
is not a filePro bug I will be glad to pay.
I have fussed with this for 2 weeks and sometimes it works great for 20
tries then nothing will work right for the next 20. I am repeating the
same test files over and over to insure that the data is not at issue.
I have rewritten the code 5 times, changed logic and have tried all
variations that I can think of.
PLEASE HELP.
Nancy
