I haven't read the -entire- thing, as I'm in the middle of coding
something, but I skimmed a significant amount of this and think you (and
others) may find it interesting.

Caught my notice on Google's results because it was referenced by a
bangpath originally, which meant most likely that it went back quite
a ways. Indeed it does. I'll prolly read it over dinner. Looks
