Thanks for the various tests everyone did.

The customer has 5.0.8, so I'll update the customer to 5.0.14 and see if it 
still fails.
But it's really more of a curiosity than a problem even if it does still 
fail. That's why I only called it "oddness"
Well, it is a problem since it works enough to make you waste a lot of time 
trying to find and fix a syntax error that doesn't exist.
