If you do lots of high-end graphics/video things, the G5 will outperform
the Intel based machines. I read recently that Apple is going to continue
the G5 on the Xservers in response to loud complaints from their customers.
What I would absolutely love is the ability to run OS X on IBM ThinkPads.
I think that the ThinkPads have far and away the best keyboards and I
despise the touchpads (not to mention only one mouse button on the iBook
and Powerbooks).
My ThinkPad 600 is getting a bit long in the tooth, and only has about
220MB of RAM available, not enough for SuSE 9.3 Pro so I'm almost to the
point that I have an excuse to replace it.
