Okay, so the previous statement that it didn't work unless you broke
out first with Ctrl-C was incorrect?  That means things aren't as
screwed up as the previous scenario would imply.

Again, everything you have described points to a bug in your terminal
emulator.  (Each piece of the puzzle points more and more away from
filePro and to the emulator.)  Either that, or the escape sequence you
are sending does more than you think it does.
