To clarify further, it is the DOS API (such as it is) that accepts both
forward and backslashes. The same is true for the Windows API. It was
the application level (command.com and the other MS-supplied programs)
at which forward slashes were usurped as the flag indicator. Any
application that didn't explicity forbid forward slashes would work
just fine. For example, filePro 1.0 could use "-p /path/to/file".
