Dennis,

I am no expert but I would like to give you a friendly comment. I think a
large portion of you having difficulty in getting your problems resolved has
to do with your way of asking questions. I would like to suggest that you
use language that is more precise when asking a question or responding to a
request for further information. Maybe slow down and reread your posts a
few times before hitting send. In the world of computer programming, either
you are precise or you simply confuse everyone who is trying to help
you.....(they are used to dealing with precision).

Also, if you are going to work in filePro, try to use the filePro word for
things. It prevents confusion.

For example, you said:

> First, what I meant by "open fields" was that they were not restricted
> fields.

You were imprecise twice (heah I'm a poet!). This is just sloppy for
someone who has been using filePro for many years.

You called them "open fields" and nobody had any idea (or at least not
definately) what you were talking about. Then you said what you meant were
they were not restricted.

Call them what they are in filePro lingo:

        open fields=not protected

        restricted fields = protected field

Over the last few weeks there have been other times when you use imprecise
terms that are ambivelent. I encourage you to be more precise and if
filePro uses a special term for something, then you should use that term
also so people can better understand you and help.
