Well, I did some reading. It's not encouraging. There's indeed a SetFocus
method in the Win32 API. However, it -requires- that the window gaining
focus be in the same thread as the process doing the setting. There was a
function for attaching to threads, but documentation on getting a thread
listing to accurately do so was so scarce that it didn't exist.
Other documentation I found indicated that one simply cannot set focus to
another application's window, period.
Some of the information out there appears at least partially contradictory.
If someone actually has Windows API code for attaching to another
application in some fashion and setting the focus, I'd be interested in
trying to elicit that behaviour from my code. I don't have documentation
for the Windows API--just what I can scrouge online. Apparently I can call
whatever I need generically, so this -could- work...maybe--if it's possible
at all, of which I'm no longer convinced.
