filePro reindex script for Unix...

Here is the reindex script for SCO *nix.

Just type "reindex" and it will ask which filePro file(s) (you can use
wildcards) you want to reindex. Then it will ask which qualifiers... (again
you can use wildcards). Then it will ask if you want the main file as well
as any qualifiers (if you asked for qualifiers) :-).... I have variations
on this script which do it all from the command line (not interactively),
but that is an easy mod, should anyone need it.

My name is on this thing somewhere, but it is obviously Bob's complete
re-write and has been for the past 15 years or so. I would guess we have put
this script on this list about 10 times at least. I know he won't mind
sharing it with anyone again.

And this begs the question... why is a robust rebuild-indexes script not
available in filePro itself as a factory built-in? It really _should_ be. I
have heard the "excuse" (generated first by George Rosenbergen... I heard
him say it clearly many times... that filePro did not provide a "compress"
function since it could harm data... but what on earth could be the reason
for not including a reindex function that includes qualifiers?? As for the
"it could hurt data" defense on compress, even that doesn't hold water,
because you can clear the key/data of any file from within fielPro...
couldn't that unintentionally destroy data? It was and has been this kind
of spurious reasoning that has kept filePro from including many needed and
useful tools in the past. But these people are not running things now... how
come they (the bad reasons) persist?
