No, you miss my point.  Of course the variables will
always clear when the record is read and automatic
processing is run.  Ken made that clear.  My point is
that it is not an issue for me because I generally
only use dummy fields for the life of 1 processing
table (1 iteration).  If I need to communicate field
information between processing tables or different
iterations of the same processing table, then I make
the field global in automatic processing.
