The question I had at the time was one that I was 'relaying' from my boss
who was at a customer site at the time and relying on me to get an
answer...and I didn't get it, so, it was not one of the seven posts you
mentioned finding in the archive. I can tell you it was the LAST question I
asked on the list, and it was about a year ago. I don't recall the subject
of the question, but all I got in response, between my boss calling to see
if I had found something yet, was several condescending, rude,
non-informational, put downs (and now that you mention it, and I am
recalling more clearly, I think it was several responses from just one
person --but you know what they say about the 'one bad apple' ....that
person's responses were definitely 'bad apple' enough to turn me off from
asking questions on the list!).The impression one would naturally get from
such an experience is that this person responding to my question was
speaking 'for the list' as none of the other members had anything to say
about my question, nor the way it was being responded to.
I'm not a seasoned professional fp'er, and it would be great to have a
'helping hand' every once in a while, but, I have more to do that than to
match wits, etc, with someone as arrogant as the 'one' that chose to unleash
his insecurities on me that day!
With that said, I truly hope the list goes well and as originally intended.
And, since there is no filePro value to my earlier comment, nor this post,
I apologize for the space and time. I will make sure any future posts from
me will be purely filePro applications related. (Even if it only amounts to
seven in a three year period :) )
Thank you,
Calvin Covington
