New FP Room address - IMPORTATN NOTICE

Hello all,

As of this morning, June 6, 2005, The FP Room will start to have a new
address. I've upgraded the server to the next version, and unfortunately,
enough has changed that I can not easily point to the old address (which
used to be www.tinyural.com/yuag7) The new address for The FP Room now is:

	    www.tinyurl.com/97y9u

This will take you to the room, however, if you do not have the latest copy
of the client software already on your system, it will present the download
box with the standard "security warning". Once you say Yes to this, a new
version 4 software will load in just seconds and you will see a login prompt
for the room. In future, unless there are upgrades to the client software,
you will be brought directly to the login prompt.

After the client software is on your machine. You can then make a shortcut
on your desktop that looks like this:

      	iv4://server=12.44.56.168&room=5ace66b2&user=Your Name&pass=/

This shortcut takes you directly into the room automatically, bypassing the
login prompt. Also, when you leave the room, the calling /login page won't
be left behind.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience of having to change your shortcuts to the
new target, but it only takes a moment, and only needs to be done once.
Hopefully, this address will last a year and a half like the last one.
Hopefully, longer.

For a short time, perhaps two or three days, there will be duplicate iv3 and
iv4 FP Rooms. For those who don't get this notice through lists or email, I
will redirect them manually if possible from the old room address with this
message.[1]

Thanks,
John Esak

[1] Well, then you ask, if you can redirect them from the old room, why not
just point to the new server page and be done with it? The old server itself
is not under my control and may go down for maintenance, There is no
guarantee it will come back up in the same configuration. So, it is just
easier to take on a new address and be done with it.
