-RO causes an error

This sounds like a bug.  In my opinion filepro should
not give you such an error for any reason.

I have had similar problems with the -ro flag, when I
was using 4.8 filepro on HPUX unix.  That version had
quite a few problems, of course, so this was the least
of my troubles.

That said, are you perhaps doing a write in automatic
processing?  In general this is bad form and should be
avoided IMO.  Perhaps that in conjunction with the -ro
is giving filepro fits.  Try using the -y flag to
bypass automatic processing.

Have you tried using PFREADONLY? If I remember
properly I actually was able to use PFREADONLY when
-ro was causing problems. 

Are you using the current version of filepro?
