HP 1320 laser not printing from filepro

The printer is hung off of my lpt1 port.  fp will not print to it. I
tried 
dir>Prn from the dos prompt with no luck.  Anyone one have suggestions?

have payroll to print tomorrow am and the employees will simply not

There are sometimes problems with a parallel connection to that printer
but apparently there is a solution:
