I posted the following to this list over the US Independence Day weekend
but my wife says that was not a good time for the announcement as it
could easily have gotten lost in a backlog of messages. I don't know if
she is right or if filePro developers, like the proverb that says "a
woman's mouth has no Sunday (day of rest)", work all the time. Ladies -
Please don't kill the messenger for that one.
In any case I am posting this a second (and last) time. I dislike SPAM
and don't want to be guilty of it.

A while back when I mentioned that I was writing a book of the Haitian
Creole proverbs I sometimes quoted when posting to this list I received
several requests to be notified with the book was published.
Well, I am pleased to announce that the book "Hidden Meanings" is now
out. It is available from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Light Messages.
"Hidden Meanings" is a collection of over 1,200 Creole proverbs with
English translations and interpretations. The first edition is
available in hardcover for $18.95 except to subscribers to the fPlist
and bookstores.
During the month of July, those whom I have come to know and mostly
enjoy through this list can purchase an autographed copy of "Hidden
Meanings" for $12.95 postpaid by using the following non-linked URL.

Because this book was something that I wanted to do not what had to be
done at any given moment it has taken me a long time to get it written
and published. I am glad to have it done, to have it out, and to share
it with my friends.

Nou pa mande pitit samble papa l, nou mande erèz kouch.
"We don't ask for the child to look like his father; we just ask for a
successful delivery."
(May the project be successful even if it turns out differently than
anticipated.)
