Me too on that "over 20 years now". I have seen more
than my share of bus errors though. For some reason
they seem to occurr on filepro under HPUX instead of a
segmentation violation. I suspect that it is not a
coincidence that Ryan is running SOLARIS, that is also
based on the reverse endian byte structure.
I would suggest that Ryan simplify the processing
table that is loaded when the bus error occurs, and
try to keep removing lines from it until the error
goes away. That way he should be able to identify the
offending lines. My money is on this being a filepro
bug, but perhaps he can help narrow it down for fptech
by doing this.
