Ryan, like Steve, my experience with filepro has been
that bus errors are quite rare.  I was disappointed,
though, to find out that you are running filepro on
Solaris.  I don't have experience with filepro on that
OS.  I wonder if anyone else has had success with it? 


I have experienced some bus errors with filepro under
HPUX, but It was rare and I was pretty much able to
work around the circumstances that would lead to
these.  As I recall one situation involved deleting
records from files with very large multi keyed
indexes.  Another situation involved the use of the w
flag on a lookup and the locked function.

I have never heard of comments effecting anything in
filepro.  I assume that you are using dclerk/dreport
and not the r stuff?  Can you come up with a
repeatable scenario that always causes an error with
the comment?
