The first step is to make sure that SCO can print
to your printer. If you can't print from another program
or from the command line, you won't be able to print
from filePro until this is fixed.
Once you can print, you need to configure filePro
to go to your printer. Select 7-Printer Maintanence from
the main menu, then P-Printers. Read the on-line help
and enter a printer definition (only the first 3 fields
have to have something in them -- comments are optional).
A typical entry would look like this:
* main HPLASER lp -dyourprintername -s
(replace "yourprintername" with the printer name that
you created in SCO). Notice the "*" character. This
will automatically be placed on the first printer
definition entry (use F5 to change it). It tells
filePro to use THIS entry as the default filePro
printer.
