OT:UNIX printer question

In the last exciting episode of the filePro saga,

I've seen that before. Once it's gone from the spooler and is
actively trying to be printed you need to shut down the printing
daemon. {lpshut}.
Recyle your printer, and start up the daemon again. If it still
wants to run through a lot of pages, turn off the printer, stop
the lp servies, and reboot the system.
When you have problems like this, always shut down the lp
services first. And if the print job is going to a networked
printer I've found the only way I've been able to clear it when
the printer went away was a restart of the system. And that's
usually fastest way.
