Hmmm, I doubt the government will ever force any body do
such thing. They may, however, encourage it. I can see
the great benefits of such application. Imagine a small
chip attached to a bulk and have within it, a load of
information about the shipment !?!? Talk about a self
serving electronic manifest ...
As per filePro being able to work with this up and coming
(if it is not here already) technology, that is an entirely
different issue. I imaging these being like a flash card
that you can cluster and address them as mounted devices,
store data and seal it with an unique signature. Or, think
of them as the container seals of today, except that these
will need to be placed in an I/O device for data to be loaded.
Can filePro do such things? Which platform? I have not
worked with them but expect them to come around sooner or
later. I am, after all, in an area of business where it
is bound to be used. All it takes is one of our large
customers to ask for it.
