I have a very silly suggestion and a request.

My suggestion is to try changing the menu line so it reads:

\fp\dclerk

instead of

/fp/dclerk

I know it is crazy but just try it.  See if you have a different response.

If the son installed something that uses environment space, you might 
have such an issue also.  Make a menu line that reads:  @set

Then make sure all the filepro variables are listing. PFPROG, PFDSK, 
PFDATA, PFDIR

Third is the request:  Post the version of filePro and actual OS when 
you have a problem.
