I'll 2n 3rd and 4th that.

Even if you find termlite functional enough,  (which, really, it is at first 
glance) I'd still never use it because of the way it's license thingy works. 
It stops working at the slightest provocation. When you upgrade the server 
or stop using visionfs in favor of facetwin or samba, no more termlite. I'm 
not 100% certain anymore 5 years after I gave up trying to use it but I 
think it didn't work for connecting to other servers either, just the one of 
your own that has the running copy of visionfs that your copy of termlite 
came from.

Nothing else, including other licenced non-free apps is delicate like that.

That's more than enough reason to avoid it and we haven't even touched upon 
things like printing support and other advanced features of Anzio, Facetwin, 
and many others.

The lockup problem sounds like a buggy termcap entry or TERM setting.
